Our Mission
We provide leadership to improve the economic environment and enhance the quality of life in Lewis County. The Chamber is a volunteer organization that focuses on the economic and socio-economic well-being of the county and the surrounding region of West Virginia.
We are a private sector, nonprofit organization that is supported by its members, membership investments, and various Chamber programs. Our program of work is accomplished through a number of committees with member volunteers participating who have a direct impact on Chamber positions and influence community actions.

With easy access to major markets across the East Coast, the Midwest, and beyond, Lewis County is not only an ideal place to do business, but also a beautiful place to call home. Population just under 17,000, largest incorporated town just under $4,000.
Our Vision for supporting Lewis County
First organized in 1922, the Lewis County Chamber of Commerce has served as the voice of the county’s business community for over a century. Over the past 100 years, The Chamber has expanded its focus to include education, community development, and our county’s political future. Lewis County, WV, has a diverse economy with a significant reliance on the service sector. The service sector accounts for 60.2% of the county's GDP, while the goods-producing industries contribute 22.5%. This sector structure reflects a broader trend in the state economy, where goods-producing sectors account for a larger percentage of GDP. The county's economic development is focused on improving job opportunities and workforce participation, with ongoing projects aimed at enhancing public water access and developing our outdoor economy and tourism.
